CanGeoRef
CanGeoRef is a subset of the GeoRef database of the American Geosciences Institute, developed by CFES and the American Geosciences Institute. CanGeoRef contains more than 200 000 Canadian Geoscience reference materials from government publications, peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, theses, and maps.
Canadian National Committee for GeoParks
The Canadian National Committee for Geoparks (CNCG) is a national committee that was formed in 2009 under the auspices of the Canadian Federation of Earth Sciences to address the need for coordination of UNESCO Global Geopark applications from Canada.
Canadian National Committees (CNC) for IUGS and IGCP
The CNC-IGCP and CNC-IUGS are joint committees whose roles are to support Canadian-led proposals to the IGCP Scientific Board. These committees are also responsible for providing feedback on Canadian geoscience priorities to IGCP, IUGS and UNESCO, and to identify proposed IGCP projects of potential interest to Canada. Mentorship Medal
The Mentorship Medal Committee is responsible for accepting nominations for the mentorship medal, arranging an evaluation committee, and collating the responses to choose the winner annually. Presently, this committee is chaired by Shoufa Lin of the University of Waterloo.
